Long-term, freelance, temporary Data Entry Clerk (20 hours a week)
Phoenix International Publications is looking for a long-term, freelance, temporary Data Entry Clerk to enter and maintain metadata and production specifications for all backlist titles into our new title management system (BIBLIO).
This position requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent process and project managementskills who will interact effectively with the Publishing, IT, Operations, Manufacturing, and Sales departments. Additionally, this position requires an adept problem solver with strong interpersonal skills who is able to work with internal contacts at higher levels.
- Gather and enter production specifications and metadata for all backlist titles.
- Review data for deficiencies or errors, gather and enter correct data as needed
- Run reports and check output
- Assist the Publishing Coordinator and Publishing OperationsDirector as needed.
Requirements
- Ability to work autonomously, prioritize a demanding workload, set and meet deadlines, and adjust priorities as necessary
- Excellent organizational, project management, and time-management skills
- Ability to adapt to change and work across different subject areas and projects as required
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Work demonstrates high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- Knowledge and understanding of publishing functions and processes. Children's publishing experience/an understanding of children's content and formats is a plus.
- Proficiency with Google Suite. Familiarity with Biblio and ONIX a plus. Past experience in basic databases preferred.
Position Location: This position can be fully remote or hybrid in our Chicago office.
